Medical Equipment Recycling Program

ABOUT:

Description/Mission Statement:

A reuse program for donated medical equipment.  Equipment is refurbished and sterilized, then loaned to individuals in need.

Farrell Location - M-F 10:30am - 4:00pm

Greenville Location - M,W,F 10:30am - 4:00pm

No (we offer services to anyone in the US)

Program is near a public transportation route (e.g. public transit, train, subway, etc.): No

Program is wheelchair accessible and ADA compliant: Yes

Eligibility Criteria:

We limit services to the UPMC Horizon Hospital Service area.  However, if someone in need from outside the service area comes to our program with a need that we can easily and readily mett, we will provide equipment.  Prefer to loan our equipment to individuals of low to moderate income level; however, we understand that the need for equipment is sudden and even someone with a decent income may not be able to afford necessary equipment.  We will provide to anyone who demonstartes a need.

There are no limitations to our program (everyone can access our services)

Script or Medical Order Required for Equipment: Yes
Additional Comments: Need Rx for Lift Chairs, Wheelchairs, Rollator Walkers and Hospital Beds. Need a Rx for a knee walker if it is to be borrowed for over 6 weeks.

Terms & Conditions of Service:

Equipment is borrowed.  There is no charge, but it is expected that the equipment be returned when finished with use.  Equipment recipients can use the equipment for as long as they need it.  Monetary donations are appreciated.  Donations of equipment are always needed.
